Mohsen Zand is a postdoctoral fellow in the Robotics and Computer Vision (RCV) lab since Jan 2019. Mohsen was awarded a Ph.D. in multimedia information retrieval from the Putra University in 2016. Dr. Zand is a member of the IEEE Computer Society since 2014. He was involved in different projects, such as medical imaging and moving object detection. His research interests are in the broad areas of multimedia content analysis, indexing and retrieval, pattern recognition, computer vision, and machine learning. His focus is currently on the 3D object detection and recognition for the intelligent industrial robotics.
